Gabriela

Gabriela is a highly experienced and recognized artist in Mexico City. She has had numerous solo and collective exhibitions around the world. Among them are The Mexican Embassy in Austria, The World Art Dubai and The Latin American Art Fair in Miami.

When she was 19 she lived in Paris, France, where she visited museums and confirmed her interest in the arts. Parallel to her law studies, she started painting in workshops in Mexico and later in Costa Rica and Brazil.

Gabriela has worked on several environmental projects. She is interested in social justice issues, so her work expresses the need for balance, harmony and proportion. In 2015, she received an award in an art contest sponsored by The International Amnesty on Women Rights.

Due to her passion for art, Gabriela volunteered for 3 years at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, where she was in contact with artists, curators, museographers and historians, which gave her the knowledge to take her work to the next level.

Gabriela now lives in Austin, Texas. After 30 years of experience, she wishes to share with the American public the color and joy of Mexico.
